Thermoscope Bars

Thermoscope bars are uniform rectangular bars made from selective compositions, calibrated to bend at different temperatures. Each bar is unique in that it measures temperature at a specific temperature and hence they are numbered. Similar to heat rings, Thermoscope bars too, measure the amount of heat work and are useful to monitor kiln performance. As the bar nears its maturing temperature, it softens and begins to bend at the center. 

These products change with heat work in a manner analogous to the fired product; and hence are good indicators of the amount of heat available to properly mature (sinter) the fired product. Thermoscope bars are therefore considered more effective indicators of a completed firing cycle than a pyrometer as they depend on the combination of time and temperature, rather than temperature alone.

Thermoscope Bars are calibrated to bend at different temperatures each cone number to represent a different amount of "heat work". Bars are therefore considered more effective indicators of a completed firing cycle than a pyrometer as they depend on the combination of time and temperature, rather than temperature alone.

Over Electronic Controllers

It is still a very good idea to put Thermoscope bars in electronic controlled kilns. This ensures that there uniformity of temperature within and to make sure the kiln doesn't drift and continue to fire at the right temperature as the elements age


Testing & Standardization :

All quality control operations are effectively performed to minimize defects in production.

We assure consistant quality from batch as the raw materails are specailly manufactured at our facility. Moreover each batch of raw materail is made to pass through specialised quality control procedure based on wet chemical and spectroscopic techniques for major as well as trace elements. Further more rings from each and every batch are tested at differnet temperatures to ensure bending at specified temperature.
